Evolution of the Web
It’s almost 2016! While our modern world may not be what you once imagined it to be with flying cars and time machines, other very cool and equally important things like building a website have evolved to be easier and more accessible than ever before.
Having a website has been a required asset for businesses for over a decade now, especially since the development of Web 2.0. And as we discussed on our blog previously, having a website with the RIGHT content marketing strategy is key. But first, you have to build the website. And sometimes, getting started can be the hardest and most expensive part.

In the past, (unless you’re a super smart developer) you had to hire someone to build a website for you. Understandably, you probably don’t know how to build and design a website, so you needed to hire a few people to help you like a web developer and a designer. As helpful as these genius folks are, they are both costly and require an involved, time consuming process.

While the results are likely fantastic, the current web ecosystem has the tools for you to get the beautiful website of your dreams that looks like you hired two professionals, without draining the bank, or waiting months to see mockups of your design and wireframe.
This evolution allows you to choose your website's domain, to have a cool idea, awesome content, and a great website builder. Once you pick a name and buy a domain, you choose a website builder service. These handy web tools are a combination of a developer and designer, but a lot simpler, cheaper, and allow you to remain in control, which is a top concern for many business owners, bloggers, or anyone starting their own website.

Not to toot our own horn, but part of why we built ucraft was to help provide a platform for people looking to build their own beautiful websites without all of the complicated and outdated steps it used to take. There are plenty of website builders out there, so find the one that is right for you and your needs. While some are just the bare bones, others are more design centric, and some allow for more customizability.

Now here comes the fun part that you would have missed out on in the old days. Build it!
Whether you need image sliders, tiled images, social feeds, whatever you dream up is likely only a few clicks, drags, and drops away. Now you have more time to focus on doing whatever it is that you do, and driving more people to that beautiful website of yours.
